It wasnt until the early 20th century, The U.S. military didnt train cooks at all. Some of the best cooks in the country arent in restaurants or on TV, theyre in the MILITARY! IMAGINE...three stoned-faced judges wait to taste D.D. menu of flounder-scallops with quinoa and argula salad...sweet potato soup puree with Edan Cheese fritters and baked mini-cakes. Sounds like an audition for TOP CHEF, but D.D. is a Senior Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy, one of the 18 culinary specialists chosen to compete for the ARMED FORCES CHEF OF THE YEAR! STAY TUNED...etc. 20 yr old competition...etc. Four courses in four hours...etc. Napolean said...etc. Food plays a big...etc. Circa..2012, U.S. Armed Forces...etc.
